چکیده
Abstract We present the first JWST spectral energy distribution of a Y dwarf. This Y0 dwarf WISE J035934.06−540154.6 consists low-resolution ( λ /Δ ∼100) spectroscopy from 1–12 μ m and three photometric points at 15, 18, 21 m. The spectrum exhibits numerous fundamental, overtone, combination rotational–vibrational bands H 2 O, CH 4 , CO, CO NH 3 including previously unidentified ν band Using Rayleigh–Jeans tail to account for flux emerging wavelengths greater than m, we measure bolometric luminosity 1.523 ± 0.090 × 10 20 W. determine semiempirical effective temperature estimate 467 − 18 + 16 K using evolutionary models radius. Finally, compare photometry grid atmospheric find reasonably good agreement with model having T eff = 450 K, log g 3.25 [cm s −2 ], [M/H] −0.3. However, low surface gravity implies an extremely mass 1 M Jup very young age Myr, latter which is inconsistent simulations volume-limited samples cool brown dwarfs.

The Future of Ultracool Dwarf Science with JWST
Ultracool dwarfs exhibit a remarkably varied set of characteristics which hint at the complex physical processes acting in their atmospheres and interiors. Spectra of these objects not only depend upon their mass and effective temperature, but also their atmospheric chemistry, weather, and dynamics. As a consequence divining their mass, metallicity and age solely from their spectra has been a c...
متن کاملModeling the Dust Spectral Energy Distributions of Dwarf Galaxies
Recent efforts on the modeling of the infrared spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of dwarf galaxies are summarised here. The characterisation of the dust properties in these low metallicity environments is just unfolding, as a result of recently available mid-infrared to millimetre observations. From the limited cases we know to date, it appears that the hard radiation fields that are present...
متن کاملThe Spectral Energy Distribution of Spiral Galaxies
Spectral energy distributions (SEDs) are some of the most important sources of information for galaxies, especially for high redshift ones. Here we review recent work on the subject. We discuss the integrated spectra of galaxies of different morphological and activity type, their application to derive K-corrections and classification of high redshift objects. We also discuss the radio to X-rays...

Measurements on the spectral energy distribution of direct solar radiation, made in July 1953, at Sacramento P eak, New Mexico, altitude 9,200 feet are described . Spectral data a re given for wavelengths extending from 299 to 535 millimicrons for ai r masses 0, 1.0,2.0, and 3.0. A determination of atmospheric transmittance as a function of wavelength results in calculated total amounts of ozon...
متن کاملSpectral Energy Distribution and Bolometric
Infrared broad-band photometry of the cool brown dwarf Gliese 229B extending in wavelength from 0.8 to 10.5 m is reported. These results are derived from both new data and reanalyzed, previously published data. Existing spectral data reported have been rereduced and recalibrated. The close proximity of the bright Gliese 229A to the dim Gliese 229B required the use of special techniques for the ...
